A Karachi-based architectural practice with 25 years of institutional design excellence across Pakistan's banking and corporate sectors.
Space Design was established in 2000 with a clear mandate: deliver architectural consultancy that combines design intelligence with on-ground project execution. From day one, the practice positioned itself not just as a drawing office but as a full-service delivery firm.
Over 25 years, the firm has grown into one of Karachi's most active institutional architecture practices, with a client roster that reads like a directory of Pakistan's financial sector. Every major banking group in the country has trusted Space Design with their branch fitouts, head office renovations, and new buildings.
The firm provides Architectural Consultancy Services and executes projects on a Turnkey basis — meaning clients receive a single point of responsibility from design concept through to completion. This model has driven repeat engagement across every major client relationship in the portfolio.
Space Design maintains a vetted network of contractors who have consistently delivered quality work on schedule, and works in association with specialist structural, electrical, and MEP consultants for complex briefs.
Architect Muhammed Tahir Shaikh brings 25 years of architectural practice to every project. Registered with both the Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners (PCATP) since 2000 and the Institute of Architects of Pakistan (IAP), he has personally led design and supervision across hundreds of projects nationwide.
His experience spans full building design for banking institutions, residential and commercial developments, and corporate head offices, as well as large-scale interior architecture programmes covering hundereds of branches simultaneously across multiple cities. He has worked across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Quetta, and numerous secondary cities throughout Pakistan.
